Sales Manager

Job Description:

ASI is looking for a talented and results-driven Sales Manager position to drive our flight charter business, develop new and existing corporate accounts, and grow third-party charter broker sales. The ideal candidate will have experience in any number of these areas: business to business sales, travel planning, air charter & brokering, and the aviation/airline industry. You should be a well organized self starter, proven long term relationship builder, and have a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. A holistic list of Traverse City, Northern, and State of Michigan corporate and organizational sales contacts is a strong plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Sales Manager is responsible for these duties and responsibilities:

  • Meeting ASI’s revenue and sales targets
  • Strengthening relationships and growing sales with ASI’s current corporate clients
  • Developing new productive business accounts in Traverse City, Northern, and the State of Michigan
  • Provide timely and accurate aircraft charter availability responses and client charter quotes utilizing ASI’s charter planning software
  • Develop ASI’s third party charter broker sales capability
  • Develop a working understanding ASI’s aircraft as well as those generally available aircraft in the charter market
  • Other duties as required to assist in meeting revenue/sales goals and assisting your fellow ASI Team members

Preferred Job Requirements: Job Description

  • Business to business sales, corporate travel planning, aircraft charter and charter broker, and  aviation/airline, related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong oral & written communications skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals, schedules, and deadlines as well as able to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to be gracious, pleasant, and with a top notch customer service delivery nature
  • Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook – ability to learn new software programs as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently, and within a team
